The Kamloops Festival of the Performing Arts (KFPA) is a volunteer led, non-profit registered under the British Columbia Society Act.
Our goal is to encourage the development of the performing arts in Kamloops and the surrounding areas through our annual three-week performance Festival.
The Kamloops Festival of the Performing Arts promotes education and artistic growth in: dance (ballet, modern dance and stage), brass and woodwinds, harp, guitar, piano, strings, chamber music, voice, choir and speech and dramatic arts.
Participants receive adjudication and instruction from highly qualified adjudicators. Eligible entrants are recommended to advance to the annual provincial festival, which is held in a different BC community each year.
In the words of Thornton Wilder:
I regard the theater as the greatest of all art forms, the most immediate way in which a human being can share with another the sense of what it is to be a human being."
